We are looking at an experienced sales engineer that possesses a blend of both technical and sales skills/experiences in the infrastructure software space. We are looking at someone who’s self-motivated and self contained and can build the necessary supporting tools and infrastructure required for the position. Obviously someone who’s not afraid to take the risk related to start-up, but enjoy the reward and fun that comes with it is what we’re looking for.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with sales team in engaging prospects who are interested in VM6’s solution
- Develop in-depth technical understanding of VM6 VMex and its’ value proposition
- Assist with product presentations, demos, product evaluations and other tasks as needed to further the sales cycle and secure new customers
- Document product feature requests/enhancements for review by product management & engineering
- Help company to keep current on competition by sharing knowledge gained in field discussions Help test alpha and beta releases as required
- Act as the technical central point of contact for all customers and partners inquiries
- Work as a “team” with Regional Sales Directors, Inside Sales Representatives, Channel Managers, VP Sales and Marketing to effectively manage assigned territories
- Leverage resellers and Alliance partners when appropriate
- Represent VM6 in a variety of external conferences to promote VM6 products and services
- Handle other assigned duties as needed
Requirements:
- Aggressive, high energy, and a team player that interfaces well at all levels within organizations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Successful pre-sales and post sales technical support history
- Strong presentation and communication skills with proven track record of supporting winning sales team
- Strong, competitive attitude with demonstrated self motivation and exceptional work ethic
- Experience and technical knowledge of Datacenter infrastructure software Knowledge of enterprise IT configurations (network, server and storage) Self motivated, goal oriented
- Ability to use company’s resources effectively for maximum result
- Ability to execute on multiple priorities to be successful in this fast paced environment
- Flexibility in working with different time zones Small company, teaming background (wearing different hats) Minimum of 4-5 years experience in enterprise software solutions; infrastructure software selling experience
- Competency in virtualization product suite including Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESX, Citrix Xen Server will be viewed favorably
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or equivalent work experience
